Studio Spotlight – Jacob Vaughn
Jake is a former gym rat that preferred lifting heavy weights than holding yoga poses. As time has a way of changing things, however, yoga became the ideal physical practice to improve joint mobility and stability. The positive effects of yoga provided him with the ambition to earn his 200hr RTY certification. He believes that yoga is a restorative practice to a primitive state of a more simple time.
Jake teaches our 4:30p Community Power Class on Fridays as well as subbing for our instructors when needed. He may seem a little intense with his “yoga block parties” and love of push ups and squats, and that’s because he is. Maybe this picture was an isolated moment of him being playful? Or maybe it wasn’t. You should attend one of his classes to find out for yourself.
