 FEATHERED PEACOCK POSE
(FOREARM STAND)

PINCHA MAYURASANA

  1. Begin in Forearm Plank, and make your way to Dolphin Pose.
  2. Place your elbows and palms shoulder distance apart and your forearms parallel to each other. Send your gaze forward between your hands.
  3. Continue to walk your feet in as much as you can to find the action of stacking your hips over your shoulders. Keep your core engaged and gently draw your shoulder blades into your back.
  4. Extend your right leg up in the air, pressing down into your elbows. Keep hugging your elbows in toward your mid line. (dolphin splits)
  5. Shift your weight slightly forward and take a very gentle hops with your left leg, raising it to meet the right.
  6. Squeeze your inner thighs together and extend the balls of your feet upwards. Press down through your elbows and forearms,  draw your ribs in, and lengthen your sitting ones and tailbone toward your heels.
