CLASS SPOTLIGHT: MYSORE
Join Emily every Saturday morning at 9AM for this unique experience on the Northshore.  Ashtangis, no longer do you have to drive the bridge on the weekend to get in a mysore practice.  New to mysore?

No worries!  Emily will assist you (and man, are those assists good!).  Mysore is the traditional way of learning ashtanga yoga, and it’s very close to having a private yoga class in a group setting.  Each student is taught the sequence of postures through one-on-one instruction slowly over time, with each posed being individually tailored to meet the student’s specific needs.  This method allows weach student time to practice and memorize when they have learned before adding more. Unlike a led class, you develop in your own pracice and work at your own pace while the teacher assists each student individually. The class structure is open, meaning you can have a flexible start time as long as you finsih within the scheduled time.  Once you learn the sequence, you have something you can practice anywhere, and by linking the breath and gaze with each posture, you also facilitate a state of meditation.
